When this roundtable came up, everyone knew what I wanted. Dear Mr. Deep Silver, please bring back the soon-to-be greatest game of all time, Dead Island 2. I would really like to wake up on Christmas morning with Dead Island 2 news in my stocking. It’s all I have asked for, for… let’s see, six years now? I’ve been extra good this year, so please make it happen. Thank you.

No, but seriously, I would love to see the return of Dead Island 2 at The Game Awards. Not only is it as good a time as any, but we’ve heard some rumblings this year already. Earlier in 2020, some footage surfaced of an early build, and just last week, Deep Silver tweeted that the game wasn’t lost forever to time. Dead Island 2 is still in development, no matter what the haters say! So where is it??

I guess there’s not a whole lot to say on the matter, other than… my fingers are permanently crossed that we will see this game again. I’d love to see it sooner rather than later, but honestly, I will continue to sit and wait patiently for it. The early build looked so fun, and a nice return to the format we know and love, while providing the necessary updates it deserves. So please, Santa Silver, make me the happiest boy in the world this holiday season and give me what I want.
