Michael Wincott (Prophet of Truth in Halo 2)

Michael Wincott is known more by the nerd community for his role as the main antagonist in The Crow. He is more known for his role in Jordan Peele’s 2022 film NOPE. I first knew of him from a little movie from 1997 called Alien Resurrection that I think I have mentioned on a podcast once… anyway, while he has done film work he has shined in the voice roles he has taken in his career. Before his modern resurgence he provided the voice of the Prophet of Truth in 2004’s Halo 2.
Wincott managed to capture the essence of what you expected the Covenant hierarchy to come across as. Along with Robin Atkin Downes and Hamilton Camp as the Prophets of Regret and Mercy, Wincott made such an impact with his performance that he is still the favorite when compared to the man who replaced him: Terence Stamp.
That said, Wincott may not be as active in voice roles as Robin Atkin Downes but when he picks a project to participate in, he gets the job done…
