Ayyyy, it is I, the GamerSnitch. If you go through the family history, you’ll find that I’m directly related to the old EGM alumni Quartermann. I’m his cousin’s niece’s grandmother’s half-brother’s daughter’s long distant friend’s ex-boyfriend. Try not to think about it, the link is there.
Anyways, with the Quartermann having disappeared into the ether, it’s time that the GamerSnitch takes the mantle that’s clearly mine at this point. So here I am! Bringing you the 100% factual rumblings and going’s-on behind the scenes. I’ll try to jump in from time to time to bring more of what I’m hearing.
But for right now, absolutely not fabricated from my mind, here is the snitching:
Final Fantasy IX Teased at the End of Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Ever since the Nvidia leak back in 2021, fans of Final Fantasy IX have been waiting with baited breath for the rumored remake. Other games from that leak such as the Chrono Cross Remaster and Kingdom Hearts 4 have been released or announced leaving FFIX as the lone unreleased/unannounced title. It is coming, and Square Enix will tease it at the end of Final Fantasy VII Revelation with some multiverse/timeline shenanigans.
(In)Justice at the Game Awards

Many speedbumps have slowed development down, but its time for a new Injustice to be shown. With DC movies starting to pop off again, the team over at NetherRealm Studios will use that opportunity to promote their upcoming game, Injustice 3. The story will revolve around the Black Lanterns, bringing back the dead left in the wake of the previous two games including a moment that will effect Superman – Black Lantern Lois Lane.
Wii Emulation Comes to Switch 2 This November

Nintendo has plans this fall that include celebrating the Wii 20th anniversary. This will involve adding to their Classics emulators with one for the Wii. Only a few games are expected to launch on it, but don’t be surprised to dive back into games like Wii Sports, Mario Galaxy, and Donkey Kong Returns.
Bluepoint Games Takes Aim at Parasite Eve

After being done dirty by Sony, Bluepoint Games is looking to rebound. They are currently in talks with the Square Enix Collective to fund and publish their next game. The plan is to see if they can share any of that Resident Evil success by remaking beloved PS1 classic Parasite Eve.
Dino Crisis No Longer Extinct

Capcom is already looking ahead to when they get caught up with their Resident Evil remakes. Utilizing the same engine and, for the most part similarities between games, Capcom is viewing Dino Crisis as the next stop-gap between new Resident Evil games without too much of a development shake-up. The hope is that it will rejuvenate love for the series and have it continue once the first few games are remade….but Dino Crisis isn’t Resident Evil. It remains to be seen if this plan will work.
I know you may be asking….why now? I’ve been absent for a few years, so it’s an understandable question. Truth of the matter is, I was disgusted how painfully wrong my former insiders were. So I had to befriend some new ones. Work my way into their friend groups. Earn their trust as it were. And now those efforts are bearing fruit.
Only time will tell if I, the GamerSnitch, keeps them as friends. Guess we will see how these turn out.
