What’s up, y’all! I’m Emmett Watkins Jr. (also known as Ejsponge61) and I’ll be heading up the PlayStation side of things on the site. That means that most of the articles you see from me will be PlayStation related, and any articles you see related to PlayStation will have my blessing (even if I don’t always agree with them).You might have already seen some things I’ve written here, such as the Walking Dead Final Season Episode 1 review. You’ll also hear me on the Los Harrow Games Podcast regularly as well!

So, naturally, I’m a pretty big PlayStation fan. The first game I ever played was Spyro the Dragon on PlayStation One, and I’ve primarily stayed in this console family since. Even some of my favorite games of all time are PlayStation games:

As you can see, I tend to prioritize sheer fun in my games, and that is shown very clearly in Saints Row IV. While that game is nowhere near perfect, there wasn’t a single second of that game in which I wasn’t having fun, and that’s over 2 playthroughs on PC and PS4. Even a pretty bare bones game like Jackbox Party Pack 3 makes the list due to it generating some of the most fun I’ve ever had with friends. Shooters are my preferred genre as well, with most of the games here falling into that category to different extents. But, just because I tend to prioritize gameplay, gripping narratives still appeal to me greatly, as seen by my inclusion on The Walking Dead Season 1, The Last of Us, and Red Dead Redemption.

Outside of video games, though, I am also a huge fan of pop culture, so my tastes and opinions on movies, music, and TV might also sneak in as well. So, it might help to know some of my favorites there, too. My favorite artists include: the rap group Slaughterhouse, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé. My favorite movies include: Toy Story 3, Cloverfield, Spider-Man Homecoming, Little Miss Sunshine, Rush Hour 3, Pulp Fiction, and Sausage Party. And for television, while I watch way less of it nowadays, my favorite shows include: The Walking Dead, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Scrubs, Invader Zim, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Stranger Things and Criminal Minds.
