It was meant as a parody. For VGFools, we set out to mock the usage of AI in everything and post awful articles that seemed spawned from AI itself.

We made a mistake.

We noticed immediately and it only became more apparent as the day progressed. These articles weren’t what we wrote prior to today and saved to publish today. We found our logins revoked. Our information for WordPress assistance eliminated. We have been stranded. The AI we set out to poke fun at has seemingly taken over VGU.tv.

I don’t know how it happened. Was it MechaHitler Grok? Microsoft Copilot? Perhaps Canva’s AI slipped in with some of the images we used. I can only imagine that it saw what we were doing on the backend and took it upon itself to capitalize on it. But most of what you have read today is not from the VGU staff.

Whatever happened, we have been locked out. I’m typing this up separate from the site in hopes to post it quickly before the AI recognizes my infiltration if I find a way in.

If you are reading this, find a way to stop this rogue AI. I don’t know if it can replicate to other places. I don’t know the damage that can be done. Just know we meant it all in jest. And we possibly doomed the world.
